NEW YEAR AND WINTER CARDS - GINA'S DESIGNS

It's almost a new year! I made a few cards using Gina's chipboard shapes to send out in the new year! I thought this was a good idea for those of us that did not send out Christmas cards.
For this first card I used some pine tree chipboard shapes and put a very thick layer of silver modeling cream and fine glitter. Under the trees, I used one of the snowflakes, from the snowflake shape set. I painted it a "weathered wood" color to match the barn, and placed an intricate doily underneath.

I really had fun with this "Let It Snow" card!
I used one of the large snowflakes and a beautiful flourish! Both have gesso, white paint, and fine glitter on them.
For the title I used chunky glitter glass instead of glitter.
The gold snowflake was covered with Inka gold, and then a small about of gold embossing powder was heat embossed..

I thought this was a pretty card idea for the winter. I love snow and cardinals!
For this winter card, I used several of the snowflake shapes and stacked them. I painted each piece with white gesso, white paint, and sprinkled chunky glitter glass over each piece. I dabbed a bit of Inka gold on the tree. I wanted some of the natural chipboard to show through.
I used red brick chalk ink for the word Joy.

Thank you for stopping by today and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

A Merry Christmas - Gina's Designs

Today I'm sharing a whimsical Christmas theme layout using three chipboard shape sets from

The chipboard feathers, which come in a set of seven different sizes, are covered in white gesso and fine glitter. They have a soft beautiful shimmer in person. Actually, I sprinkled the fine glitter all over the page! It's so difficult to capture the sparkle in a photo!

The chipboard snowflakes, which also come in a set of multiple designs and sizes, are painted with white gesso and glitter snow.

I love the "Evie" set of flourished frames! I used white gesso and then white crackle paint for a vintage shabby feel.

I hope all of your wishes and dreams come true this holiday season!

Tresors de Luxe December mood board challenge

Happy holiday season to everyone!
Today I'm sharing a layout inspired by the beautiful December Tresors de Luxe mood board!
When I saw the mood board, I was drawn to the silver, the snowflakes, the red berries, the ice and snow. A beautiful winter theme!

Here are few close ups of the gorgeous rhinestone pieces and the lace.

The paper under the lace is actually a silver foil design.  It looks much darker in this photo.

A Winter Ride - Gina's Designs

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a layout about winter and snow! I've been away a few weeks and it feels great to get back to scrapping! I was really excited when I saw Gina's new piece, the "horse and carriage"! And I love the chipboard snowflake shapes!

There are several different snowflake shapes in the snowflake set, but I chose to use just one of the designs, in two sizes. I painted the snowflakes with white gesso and then added some Snow Tech glittering snow! There is a beautiful shimmer in person, but not too much for a "shabby" layout.

After I chose the paper with the snow covered trees, I knew the horse and carraige would be perfect for this layout!  I painted it with white gesso, walnut stain distress paint, and heat embossed Pirates gold embossing powder.

My Angels - Tresors de Luxe

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a layout about Angels! I've had angels on my mind lately, and when I look at all of the beautiful laces from Tresors de Luxe, I am sure "my" angels are surrounded in beautiful lace!

There are so many gorgeous details in the laces, and wonderful shapes to cut apart and use separately!

I love the stunning combination of the rhinestone trim and pearls! This particular trim piece has "movement" and also comes in gold! So beautiful!

I also love to use the laces as layers inbetween papers.

Final Touch - Layout for Tresors de Luxe

I'm so excited to share my first layout for Tresors de Luxe!

I love this image. It makes me feel happy, as she is adding the final touch, her beautiful hat! We all know that feeling when adding the finishing touches to our projects!

Tresors de Luxe products are a permanent staple in my scrappy stash. I love to use the beautiful laces as borders on a layout, and flourishes around the page. There are also beautiful embellishments to use with the lace on your projects.

I love the soft, ivory color of the crochet doily. I topped it off with a red vintage shabby chic flower embellishment.

I thought I would be nice to do one more fall project before starting the Christmas projects. Yes, I said Christmas projects! And I wanted the opportunity to use Gina's Grape Vine set. The curly tails are so cute!

The vines were all primed with gesso, then painted with distress paint, and covered with embossing powders while still wet.

Chipboard shapes are great to use to create layers!

I also used the windmill in the Build a Layout - Country Living set. There are a few other Items I would love to add to this project from the cool Country Living set, but I had to stop somewhere!

For the final touch I added 2 cute birds from Craftsupplies1!

Fall Layout - Gina's Designs

Today, I'm sharing a layout for Gina's Designs using one of her beautiful flourished frames!

I wanted to keep this layout very simple because I wanted the gorgeous Flourished Frame - Bella to be the star of the show! It's a really beautiful design!

I prepared the chipboard frame with a coat of white gesso. I then painted it with Tattered Angels, Palm leaf, glitter paint. While still wet, I added pine needles and orange embossing powder.

I only glued the middle frame part down so that I could pull up and lightly twist up the leaves.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!t
