Flameless Candles - Reneabouquets

Hi scrappy friends!

Well, I've gotten bit by the home decor embellishing bug! You know, where everything you look at NEEDS to be embellished!

I was looking around my room and saw these two flameless candles and
they looked so plain...I had to embellish them.

The candles are flameless (a must for cat owners), battery operated candles with timers. So they pop on at the same time each evening.

The first thing I grabbed was my Reneabouquets embellishment box full of beautiful laces, flowers, bling and butterflies!

I wanted this candle in a gold glass holder to look a bit vintage. The candle is ivory, but looks yellow in this photo because the light is turned on.

I covered the candle with two rows of Reneabouquets Elegance Ivory and Gold Lace. It's one of my
favorites because of the gold accents. I used a piece of gold trim from my stash to bring out the gold in the White and Gold lace.

I placed bows using white tulle and a couple of pearl sprays before adding the flowers.

I love the little rose buds!

I used Reneabouquets Pink and White Mulberry Roses and leaves. They are gorgeous! And, by the way, the flowers come in a beautiful organza drawstring bag.

And last, but not least, added the sweet Reneabouquets Vintage Ballerina Fairy #2 (Green).
I love that you can order Renea's diecuts facing left or right, just depends on your design.

The second flameless candle is for the bathroom. I wanted it to be a bit more playful and pink!

I used Reneabouquets Rose Crown Lace and added some Reneabouquets Pink Chunky Glitter glass to the roses in the lace design.  It's hard to see in the photos, but the roses now have a sheer pink sparkle.

On the the candle lid I gathered some Reneabouquets Delicate Beauty Guipere Lace and placed in a circle around the top. I added a pearl spray, looped some pearls on a string, and one of the beautiful, "fluffy", Reneabouquets Pink Chiffon flowers. These flowers have pearl and rhinestone centers, but still look so "delicate".

I used two of the pink chiffon flowers from the Shabby Chic pack of three flowers in light pink, pink, and white.

I made some charms to hang down the sides....and...

...the finishing touch, of course, Renea's butterflies! I used the Tiny Treasures Sweet as Candy butterflies with gold antennas. They are a soft pink with glitter glass...so pretty!

Now, on to the next home decor project....hmmmm....

The Beauty Of Dreams

Today I am sharing a layout for the April Blue Fern Studios sketch challenge!
Thank you very much for stopping by my blog! Please let me know if you have any questions and let me know if you like my interpretation of the sketch!

You can see my kitty Charlie taking a nap in this photo!

Here is another look...

Love the gorgeous Reneabouquets butterflies with their wings popped up!

Here is the sketch...

You can visit the Blue Fern Studios blog at http://bluefernstudios.blogspot.com

I used the gorgeous Blue Fern Serendipidy papers and Blue Fern chipboard Whimsy Flourishes,  Reneabouquets Snow White Butterflies,  Reneabouquets Silver Tres Belle Pearl and Rhinestone Broaches, Prima resin Shabby Chic Mannequins,  and Lace trims all from Reneabouquets.com

I layered Reneabouquets Delicate Beauty Guipere Lace trim with the paper and was quite please with the result! What do you think?

I am in LOVE with this gorgeous broach!

I wanted the chipboard flourishes to be a simple black to highlight the beautiful design.

The shabby flowers are from my stash, they are from several stores on Etsy.

Spring Blossoms - April Maja Design Mood Board

I've taken a little break from scrapping, and am so happy to have found some inspiration from the Maja Design April Mood Board! Just in time for Spring themes!

I used papers from three of the Maja collections...Vintage Spring Basics, Soferio, and Life in the Country.

I embossed many of the papers with Anna Griffin embossing folders and embossing folders and dies - beautiful trimmings borders.

I used adhesive squares to give the design dimension.

I used misc stamps from my stash on the background page and used Anna Griffin ink pads and Prima chalk inks.

I added Reneabouquets trim lace with the embossed and die cut borders.

I made charms from the Maja paper with my new fun charm maker!

It's been quite some time since I entered a mood board challenge and really enjoyed this particular mood board and working with Maja papers.

Here is the Maja April mood board and a link to the blog:

May All Roads Lead Home...

Happy New Year! This layout is about "finding yourself" and starting out the new year with new goals and finding inspiration! I got out all my shabby goodies...lace, pearls, chiffon flowers, gesso, and had so much fun!

I'm going to put this in a white distressed wood frame and hang in my bedroom, which I am redoing in pinks/white and gold, and pink roses.

I used Primas Debutante papers from the 6 X 6 pack. The printed
designs are smaller and I love the draping pattern on the background paper. I used four pages to make the 12 X 12 background. I used many adhesive pop dots and adhesive strips to give my design dimension.

I painted the chipboard frame with gesso and then sprinkled some Finnabair gold opal magic mica powder on top. I then painted a second layer of gesso. There is a beautiful translucent gold sheen on the frame.

I draped a lace appliqué with pearls along both sides of the frame. I thought it coordinated nicely with the chipboard dyesign.

And then started placing all the beautiful flowers from Prima, Reneabouquets, and Tresors de Luxe, and the adorable little fairy die cuts from Little Scrap Shop at Etsy.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
